Music Making & Sharing

Based at Calmore Village Hall, SO40 2RS, this is a group that allows room for exellence, experimentation and appreciation – it welcomes and encourages keen amateur musicians to come along and share their musical skills and enthusiasm, on the instrument of their choice, and the genre they like. A tuned piano is at the venue. Meetings start with a brief musical warm-up, before taking turns to play and listen to each other. There is a solo and duet or small group playing of pieces players have practice and would like other participants to hear. The group shares pieces, whether perfected or in progress. If you compose your own music the group is keen to hear it. The group meets every third Saturday of the month from 2-5pm. £5 on the door, which includes refreshments. For more information, visit the Music Making and Sharing website or email Doris [email protected]
