We are a group of amateur musicians from the Southampton, Solent and New Forest area. The aims of the orchestra are to give enjoyment and practice to its members, to encourage musicians to join and obtain higher musical standards and to bring musical enjoyment to audiences. We have strong input from orchestra members in the selection of music played, with account taken of requests by the venues hosting us.
We currently rehearse on Thursday evenings at Bramshaw Village Hall, Row Hill Cottage, Bramshaw, Lyndhurst, SO43 7JE, from 7.45pm to 9.45pm.
During the year we perform three or four concerts with a wide repertoire, from classical to light modern which includes symphonies and concertos.
